I want to thank you for your service. I am a Huey crewchief from 1984 till 2009 when we here at the 1108th AVCRAD retired our last flyable Hueys. You now have the remaining parts from our craft. It feels as though we were organ donors in a sense which I am glad to know they will see some sort of service. I have been changed to a Blackhawk mechanic reluctantly I might add. I currently still serve as a Military tech. and Guardsman.

I appreciate your service in Vietnam as pilots. I was a crew chief on the armed helicopter for 197th armed helicopter company. I served 19 months in Vietnam. May of 1966 to January of 1968. May God bless all our veterans.

A big thanks to the NCVHPA members and wives that shuttled me to and from the hotel, feed me and kept me company during the Mid Atlantic Fly-In when the rest of my club could not make it due to mechanical failures. Your hospitality was above and beyond. It was my honor and privilage to meet everyone one of you guys and hopefully see you at future events. Thank you also for your service to this great country and your efforts now.
